Poppies In July

A selection of work entitled "Poppies in July", inspired by the life and poetry of Sylvia Plath. These images are a selection of work from my Final Major Project which appeared as part of an A3 landscape book. Possibly the most challenging and rewarding of all projects to date, fingers crossed for myself and everyone on UCA graduating Illustration students that June 3rd goes well! 

This is the latest release from "The Plea." It's a fucking epic tune, such a summer song. I cannot wait for the album to be released -at the end of june I think!! :D

Sketches based on the poetry of Sylvia Plath for my FMP, we shall see how this goes! 

Professional Practice Unit

This is my entry for Penguin Brief -Gabriel Garcia Marques' 100 Years of Solitude. Also the imagery I used on my business cards, which I'll probably work on before our exhibition at New Blood!

Class of 68' -Editorial Brief

These are some of the images I made on a one day editorial styled brief workshop with Illustrator Peter Knock. It was a really fun experience and I'm happy enough with my doodles. Depressingly boring article though -avoid it at all costs!

These are some of my final images for my Minor Project. My project became progressively about the Irish tradition of a Wake, hopefully creating the experience and community atmosphere of the event. This is also in commemoration of my neighbour 'Big' Denis, who recently passed away.
